Overview
2018 Aston Martin DB11 Volante MY19. Twin-turbocharged V8, rear-wheel drive, sports automatic transmission. 26,543 kilometres recorded. Black exterior over black hide, a monochrome combination that suits the Volante's proportions. The DB11 Volante is Aston Martin's open-top grand tourer, sharing the coupe's bonded aluminium structure with a power-folding fabric roof that stows in fourteen seconds. This MY19 update brought recalibrated damping, revised steering weight and the eight-speed ZF gearbox tuned for sharper response in Sport and Sport Plus modes. The V8 architecture, borrowed from AMG, offers a different character to the V12: lighter over the nose, more agile through direction changes, slightly less weight overall. Black on black is a deliberate choice, one that reads formal or sporting depending on context. Available for viewing at Arden Street.
