Black over black leather, the traditional pairing for the retractable-hardtop SL. This generation R231 remains the last SL built with a metal folding roof, the line now replaced by the fabric-roof SL of 2022. The 400 sits in the mid-range of the R231 lineup, offering the twin-turbo V6 drivetrain in a lighter, more agile package than the V8-powered 500 and AMG variants.
The vario-roof mechanism transforms the cabin from coupe to open-air roadster in under twenty seconds. A two-seat grand tourer that balances long-distance comfort with the option of wind-in-hair driving. Inspection by appointment.
