The SE trim sits mid-range in the L663 family, bringing LED headlights, heated front seats, Meridian audio and configurable terrain response as standard equipment over the base specification. 5 model year brought revised infotainment software and updated driver assistance calibration across the Defender range.
This is the straight-six petrol option, not the mild-hybrid diesel or plug-in variant, so throttle response is immediate and the torque curve linear. The dual-range gearbox keeps low-speed crawling ability alongside highway refinement. Black on the current-generation Defender remains the most understated colour choice in a line-up that otherwise skews toward statement finishes.
